Felix Moncla. First Lieutenant Felix Eugene Moncla Jr. was a United States Air Force pilot who disappeared while performing an air defense intercept over Lake Superior in 1953. This is sometimes known as the Kinross Incident, after Kinross Air Force Base, where Moncla was on temporary assignment when he disappeared. -
2.
Leah Roberts. In March 2000, 23 year Leah Roberts disappeared from her home after a tumultuous couple of years in which she had lost both her parents and dropped out of college. Nine days after she first went missing, the wreck of her Jeep was discovered in a remote forest. Several days after this, a man reported a sighting of a young woman wandering disoriented and confused around a gas station some distance away. After this, no further trace of Leah was ever found. -
3.
Amy Lynn Bradley. Amy Lynn Bradley was just 23 when she went missing during a family Caribbean cruise on the large ship “Rhapsody of the Seas” in late March 1998. Her disappearance, and the events that followed remain one of the strangest unexplained missing person cases in history. -
4.
David Stone. David Stone was a 29 year old stockbroker who disappeared on Halloween of 1988. He had left his home a few days earlier after losing his temper with a party guest and physically assaulting him, which was said to be completely out of character. He was seen intermittently between then and 6am on 31 October 1988 sitting next to his car on Highway 80. The last sighting took place on a cold Halloween morning when a farmer found him wandering around roads on his property and asked him what he was up to: the answer was that he was "looking for the Beast". -
5.
Dennis Martin. The site has been known for many disappearances over the years. Perhaps the strangest was the case of Dennis Martin in 1969.The six-year-old boy and his family were on a hiking trip in the Smoky Mountains. Dennis and his three brothers decided to jump out at their parents when they walked past. The three brothers went one way, while Dennis went in the other direction because his bright red top made him more obvious. When the time came, the three brothers jumped out at their parents, but Dennis did not. They presumed that he had missed his cue and called his name while waiting for him to come out. Still, he did not. -
6.
Keith Reinhard. The tiny village of Silver Plume, Colorado–population 200–lies in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. On September 7, 1987, Tom Young closed up his bookshop on Main Street, and along with his dog, Gus, disappeared. Nine months later, a new resident of Silver Plume, Keith Reinhard, opened an antique shop at exactly the same location. On August 7, 1988, Keith closed up his shop for the day. Less than two hours later, Keith Reinhard also disappeared. -
7.
Kenny Veach. On Monday, November 10, 2014, Kenneth Lee Veach, known by friends and family as Kenny, told his family that he was going on “a short, overnight trip” into the Sheep Mountains in Nevada. The 47-year-old hiker then headed out and never returned home. Kenny’s disappearance was as unceremonious as his exit, and few concrete clues were ever found. However, the truly bizarre aspects of the story begin not with Kenny’s November 10th hike, but a little over a month earlier. Oddly, it all seems to have began with an off-handed comment on a Youtube video. -
8.
Laura Bradbury. For Mike and Patty Bradbury, Joshua Tree National Park was a haven where they could get away from the rest of the world. On October 18, 1984, as they set up their camp, their three children—Travis, Laura, and Emily—played close by. In a few moments’ time, their annual camping trip turned into a nightmare when Laura vanished. Park rangers, local sheriffs, and volunteers would soon devote countless hours to tracking down the missing three-year-old. -
9.
Patricia Meehan. The story of Patricia Meehan is a very strange and puzzling one. She seemingly disappeared into the night with little reason. The case has remained unsolved since 1989. With few witnesses, the full events are sketchy at best. What is well known about this case is that our culture has seemingly thought of every possible scenario to explain what happened to her. -
10.
Rebecca Coriam. This is an unsolved mystery in a surreal setting. Rebecca Coriam was 24 and working aboard the Disney Wonder cruise ship when one day she simply disappeared. She was caught on security camera having an early-morning phone conversation, and one of her slippers was found on deck, but other than that she seemed to have vanished without a trace. -
11.
Conor and Sheila Dwyer. One of the most baffling missing persons cases in the history of Ireland occurred in 1991 when an elderly couple named Conor and Sheila Dwyer mysteriously vanished from the town of Fermoy. The last confirmed sighting of them was when they attended Mass at St. Patrick’s church on April 30. After not hearing from them for weeks, Sheila’s sister decided to visit the couple’s home on May 18. When nobody answered, she decided to notify the police. They arrived and broke down the door, but could find no sign of the Dwyers inside. The Dwyers’ Toyota Cressida was nowhere to be found, but their home was otherwise completely normal. -
12.
Kris Kremers and Lisanne Froon. Kris Kremers and Lisanne Froon were Dutch students who died on or shortly after April 1, 2014, while hiking in Panama. After an extensive search, portions of their bodies were found a few months later. Their cause of death could not be determined definitively, but Dutch authorities working with forensic and search-rescue investigators thought it likely the students had accidentally fallen from a cliff after becoming lost. The circumstances and aftermath of their disappearance have resulted in much speculation about the cause of death. -

Ray Gricar. On April 15, 2005, the Pennsylvania District Attorney phoned his girlfriend to tell her he was out for a drive and would be home soon. He never arrived, and hasn’t been heard from or seen since. His car was found outside a nearby antiques store and his laptop was recovered from a local river, but otherwise the investigation turned up no leads.
